Welcome to the home of the Parent Teacher Association of the Lakewood Elementary School in Rockville, MD. The purpose of this website is to provide an additional source of information for parents and guardians about PTA activities, membership, volunteer opportunities, and issues impacting our school and/or schools in the Wootton Cluster.

We encourage everyone to play an active role in the education and success of their child in school.

We are looking for Committee Chairpersons for 2008/2009.
This is a great way to get involved with the school, your children, and to add your own ideas. Some of the positions that we are looking for include: Staff Appreciation, Columbus Day Open House, Volunteer Coordinator, Chess Club, FLES, MAD Science, Reflections, International Night, Family Science Night, Used Book Collection, Lunar New Year, End of School Event (Picnic or Beach party). Some activities only require a small time commitment and others require a bit more. It is never too late to volunteer.
